Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu announced that the leadership of the Russian army had subjected thousands of military personnel to the examination of the new Corona virus, and no injuries had been recorded among them so far.

Shoigu confirmed, during a cabinet meeting today, Thursday, that 3,241 Russian soldiers have so far undergone a Corona examination, and their results were negative.

In his speech, the Minister of Defense touched on the precautionary measures taken by the Russian army in order to prevent the spread of the epidemic in the country.

Shoigu indicated that the Russian Defense Ministry will build 16 infection control centers in various regions of the country until May 15 next, explaining that eight of these centers, which each can accommodate 800 patients, will enter service until April 30.

The Minister of Defense confirmed that units designated for people with corona have been set up in 32 hospitals, with a total capacity of 3591 patients, adding that the army has designated 2,782 ventilators, and eight working groups have begun to monitor the health situation in the country.

According to Shoigu, the Russian Ministry of Defense has also established 15 modern multi-purpose centers that are working to diagnose infections with the Coronavirus, in addition to forming 1647 teams equipped with the latest equipment to sterilize the areas of the epidemic.
